St. Gallen, Multergasse 45
The property at Multergasse 45 in St. Gallen is one of the city’s oldest buildings, dating back to around 1500. Known as the “Siegel-Haus” at the former stock exchange square, it bears the St. Gallen city seal from 1566 (Historical Museum St. Gallen) and stands as a testament to the city’s rich history.
After being acquired by Belleside Real Estate AG in 2022, a comprehensive renovation was initiated in 2024. As part of this project, three high-quality, modern rental apartments were created, seamlessly blending the building’s historical character with contemporary living comfort.
The property’s central location—just five minutes from the Abbey Library, the Cathedral, and the train station—adds to its appeal. Since 1999, the ground floor has housed a branch of Basler Läckerlihuus, further enriching the historic site.
The Siegel-Haus combines heritage-conscious restoration with modern functionality, serving as an outstanding example of the sustainable use of historic structures.
